Active Drug Delivery
Activery ® uses supercritical fluids (SCF) for the design,
development and production of novel crystal forms and
innovative drug delivery systems.

New and experienced team

Activery Biotech SL (Activery) was founded by Carles Ventosa
in 2003 to use the emerging nanotechnologies based on SCF
to create new medicines and modified active ingredients for
pharmaceutical and cosmetic use.

Recently, Dr. Andreas Kordikowski (formerly in Nektar Therapeutics Ltd.) , recognized expert in super-
critical fluid crystallization joined the company as R&D director.

Strong & Flexible Technologies

The basic technology platform of Activery®, is DELOS®, the newest and most
promising nanoparticle production method using supercritical fluids (SCF).

Initially patented just as a "method for precipitating finely divided solid particles", further developments based on its unique common denominator led to a significant diversification through two new innovative processes.

• DELOS PLUS for the production of composite materials
• DELOS SUSP for production of nanosuspensions and nanoemulsions

In addition, Activery® possesses extensive capabilities using supercritical fluids with the established PCA process for the production of micro-particles and composite materials.

R&D facilities and GMP production

Our understanding and expert knowledge in the field of multi-component high-pressure
phase equilibria and high pressure antisolvent crystallization, enables us to take the right steps right away to achieve your goals. We work together with our clients to rapidly obtain the results they need by using a pragmatic go/no go approach.

Soon, Activery will have its own cGMP compliant facilities to provide powders suitable for human clinical trials.
